Saturday January 09,
The Carnival season has officially begun, and if you’re flying into Trinidad for the festivities, it’s best to know where and when the best fetes (parties with live soca bands performing). You can download the full Carnival calendar over at Ticket Federation. To also keep on the pulse of new details, you can also check out the “Whey all d fetes is for Carnival 2010” (no typo there) on Facebook.
If you’re playing mas’ (lovely, lavish costumes worn by masqueraders on the street parades Carnival Monday and Tuesday), you check out the premiere blog on all things Carnival www.trinicarnivaldiary.com.
We MACO chicks will definitely be on the road, jumping up in a band. Carnival is one of Trinidad and Tobago’s peak tourism seasons, and we look forward to welcoming all of you to our shores.
Look out for future blog posts on great eats, treats and fun activities you can take part in. we’ll also be featuring some great spots in Tobago, where you can go to ‘wind down’ after all of the excitement.
